Cancelling
We’d rather keep you, but if tracking isn’t working for your business, here’s how cancelling works.
Before you cancel
Section titled “Before you cancel”A lot of cancellations are really fleet changes. Check whether one of these fits better:
- Sold or replaced a vehicle? Move its tracker to another vehicle you own or operate. Moving doesn’t change its term. See Moving a tracker to another vehicle.
- Something not working? Tell us. Many problems — trackers offline, odd alerts, missing fuel data — have a simple fix. Start with Tracker offline or not reporting.
- Tracker faulty? On an Inc. tracker plan, faulty trackers are repaired or replaced free during the term. See Plans and contracts.
How to cancel
Section titled “How to cancel”- Give us 30 days’ written notice. An email is fine — tell us which trackers or vehicles you want to cancel. You can also send us a message.
- Monthly fees continue during the notice period.
- We confirm the details in writing — the end date and any amount payable.
What it costs
Section titled “What it costs”Each tracker has its own minimum term, from the day it was activated.
During a tracker’s term (Inc. tracker plans)
Section titled “During a tracker’s term (Inc. tracker plans)”If you cancel a tracker early, the rest of its term is payable as an early termination amount:
- the current Inc. tracker fee, for each whole or part month left in that tracker’s term,
- plus anything unpaid.
It’s payable within 14 days. Once it’s paid, the tracker is yours.
After a tracker’s term
Section titled “After a tracker’s term”Once a tracker’s minimum term is over, it carries on month to month at the Service only rate. Either of us can end it with 30 days’ written notice. There’s no early termination amount, and the tracker is already yours.
Service only plans
Section titled “Service only plans”On a Service only plan you bought the tracker outright, so it’s already yours. Ask us about the notice period.
Before the service stops
Section titled “Before the service stops”- Export your data. Your vehicle and trip data is yours. You can export it during the term and for 30 days after the service ends. After that, don’t count on it being available.
- Save the reports you need. Run trip listing, summary or other reports for the periods you need to keep — for example for tax, logbook or insurance records.
- Tell us who no longer needs a login, and we’ll remove their access.
- Stop any data integrations that send data to other systems. See Integrations and API.
The trackers
Section titled “The trackers”Once the service stops, the tracker no longer reports to the We Track IT platform. If you take it out, turn the ignition off first.
